Farm machinery in the Philippines

From the hand tractor to the combine harvester, machines save time and cut losses at harvest. A few things to check here:

Tested machines

New farm machines sold in the Philippines are tested by the Agricultural Machinery Testing and Evaluation Center (AMTEC) under the Philippine Agricultural Engineering Standards. Ask the seller for the test report.

Cooperatives and government programs

Farmer cooperatives and associations can apply for shared machinery through Department of Agriculture and PhilMech programs. Ask your municipal agriculturist what is open in your area.

Cut harvest losses

Threshing and drying palay quickly, before the rain, is one of the biggest ways to protect your harvest. Our palay calculator shows what moisture shrink costs you.

Parts and service

Before you buy, check that parts and a mechanic are available on your island. A cheaper machine with no parts nearby can cost more in lost days.

Buying and selling tips

Buying second-hand

Check hours, service history and wear parts, and ask the seller for extra photos in the comments before you inspect.

Selling your machine

Clear photos, honest hours and a fair price get more enquiries. List once and reach buyers across our network.

Shipping between islands

Moving a machine from Luzon to the Visayas or Mindanao means trucking and a RoRo or cargo ferry. Plan the shipping and an on-farm inspection early so the handover goes smoothly.
